International SMS Regulations
To effectively send SMS messages internationally, it's important to grasp certain key concepts. Understanding these will aid you in defining your use case and facilitate a more seamless development process with EnableX.
Note: Check the Country-Specific Guidelines for the countries to which you want to send SMS messages with EnableX.
Using an Alphanumeric Sender ID
EnableX offers you the choice to send SMS with an alphanumeric originator. However, due to local restrictions in certain countries, SMS with alphanumeric originator may not arrive, or may need to be pre-registered before use. In the table below, countries in which pre-registration of the sender ID is needed are marked with Requires Registration.
Note that in some countries, registration is only required for certain operators. You can also find out where alphanumeric sender IDs are not supported, and what happens to an SMS sent with such a sender. If a country is not listed in this table, there are no local restrictions related to the sender ID and you should be able to send SMS using an alphanumeric ID.

Sending a URL
In certain countries, if the URLs are not registered, they are blocked by local operators. The below table lists the countries where URLs must be registered. If you need to register your URL, contact our Support team with the following information:
- Originator
- Sample text
- URL that you want to whitelist. Note that shortened URLs (such as bit.ly) cannot be registered. You must provide the full URL
- A short summary of your use case
