Breakout Room
Breakout rooms allow you to split your EnableX meeting rooms in separate sessions to enable users to participate in a discussion outside the main video room (parent room). The maximum number of allowed participants in a breakout room must always be less than the maximum number of active talkers in the parent room.
The process of splitting a meeting room in separate sessions is as follows:
- The creator or the owner of a meeting invites the participants of a parent room into breakout rooms.
- The participants accept the breakout room joining request to join the specified breakout room.
Note: Participants moving out of a parent room to join the breakout rooms are considered as "paused" users in the parent room until they return from the breakout rooms.
Implementing a Breakout Room
Review the following considerations while implementing a breakout room:
- Breakout rooms can only be created by users of a parent room.
- When a user is in a breakout room, the user cannot create another breakout room.
- The number of participants in a breakout room must always be less than the maximum number of active talkers in the parent room.
- Breakout rooms currently support only audio calls with Screen Sharing and Canvas Streaming features.
